Healthy harbours by 2030: Partners pledge to act together

A shared vision for healthy harbours by 2030 in Sussex and Hampshire was agreed at a meeting hosted by Southern Water recently.

Senior leaders from 18 national and local organisations agreed that putting Chichester, Langstone and Pagham harbours at the heart of decision making, investment and action is key to ensuring future generations can enjoy the health and wellbeing, environmental and economic benefits of vibrant harbours.

Southern Water wastewater treatment project wins share of £36 million for cutting-edge water sector innovation

A Southern Water funded project identifying alternative phosphorus removal approaches at rural wastewater treatment plants has been announced as a winner in Ofwat’s £36 million Water Breakthrough Challenge.

Led by United Utilities and supported by Southern Water alongside Thames Water and the University of Portsmouth, a trial will take place at the Petersfield Sewage Treatment Plant in Hampshire.

Newlands Road Burst Final Update

Today, we have a clean-up operation underway and work has started to repair the excavated road. Temporary traffic management around the site has been set up and this is likely to be in place into next week.
