We have tankers at our Tile Kiln Hill wastewater pumping station, near Canterbury, supporting us to protect the environment and maintain services as we clear a blockage caused by concrete and rubble incorrectly disposed of down the sewer.
The blockage has led to wastewater coming out of a manhole cover and reaching a nearby stream. We have reported this incident to the Environment Agency.
We are working hard to ensure our customers can continue to use their kitchens and bathrooms as normal and to minimise the impact to the environment while we clear the blockage. We apologise for any disruption tankers in the area are causing, while we complete this work. We have traffic management on its way to ease congestion on the local roads.
