“We’d like to thank customers in the Newlands Road, Worthing area for their patience last night as we repaired a major burst. Today, we have a clean-up operation underway and work has started to repair the excavated road. Temporary traffic management around the site has been set up and this is likely to be in place into next week. We have worked to minimise the impact the two-way traffic lights have for road users while maintaining the safety of our teams on site. We apologise for the disruption that may be caused. Due to the construction of the road, there will be periods during which work on site will not be visible. This is because there is concrete that will need to cure before we can complete the reinstatement of the road and pavement.”
