Kent - loss of supply Broadstairs

We’re dealing with a problem at a water booster station in Broadstairs, which disrupted water supplies to some customers in the area.

A team has been dispatched to resolve the issue at the site. We are drawing up a plan for bottled water stations to provide water to customers on Sunday, should the situation persist. If needed, bottled water will be delivered to vulnerable customers on our Priority Services Register on Sunday.

 

UPDATE 3am

Customers in Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate in Kent may have woken up this morning to no water or low water pressure.

We are very sorry for the distress this is causing and we are continuing to work on fixing a problem at a water booster station in Broadstairs which is disrupting water supplies.

A team continues to work on a fix and we’re drawing up a plan for bottled water stations to provide water to customers. When these are set-up we will announce further details. If needed, bottled water will be delivered to vulnerable customers on our Priority Services Register today.

Update 7am

Our teams have worked through the night to repair our water booster station in Broadstairs, Kent, following disruption to water supplies in the area.

Although the repair has helped restore supplies, we’re continuing to closely monitor this situation.

The network is complex and it will take time to get water flowing throughout and for water to fully return this morning.

As water starts to return, customers may have low pressure, bubbles or discolouration - all of which are normal and temporary. More information about what to can expect is available here.

We have started to deliver bottled water to people on our Priority Services Register today.
