Our bottled water station at St George’s School, CT10 2LH is now closed. 

As water starts to return, you may still have low pressure – this is normal and is only temporary. You can also expect to see bubbles and discolouration. More information about what you can expect is available here.

Our bottled water station at St George’s School, CT10 2LH will remain open until 9pm. Dane Court is now closed.

Any final deliveries to our vulnerable customers on the Priority Services Register will continue during the evening as a precautionary measure only.

With the burst fixed, the majority of our customers should now be back in supply. If you don’t have water, please call us on 0330 303 0368.  

Finding and fixing the burst was complicated and we needed to restore water pressure slowly to avoid further incidents.  We would like to thank our customers for their patience. We recognise the inconvenience and distress this situation has caused and we are sorry. 

We will be updating our customers about compensation payments in the coming days. Payments, which will be credited directly to customer accounts, will be based on the Ofwat Guaranteed Standards Scheme, a scheme that we support. 

Bottled water stations will remain open at Dane Court Grammar School, CT10 2RT (closes at 5pm) and St George’s School, CT10 2LH (closes at 9pm), and deliveries to our vulnerable customers on the Priority Services Register will continue. This is as a precautionary measure only.

Update 20 December 13:00

With the burst fixed, we are beginning to see pressure return and water start to flow. This will still take a number of hours, and water will return gradually depending on where you are on our network. We need to work carefully so that we don’t suffer further bursts as the water pressure is increased. This means that for some customers it could be a few hours before they get their water supply as the network is over 100km km long in this area.

Bottled water stations will remain open today until 10pm at Dane Court Grammar School, CT10 2RT and St George’s School, CT10 2LH, and deliveries to our vulnerable customers on the Priority Services Register will continue.

We are sorry for the distress and inconvenience caused to our customers by the disruption to water supplies in Thanet.   

Our teams worked through the night and have fixed the burst water main at Rumfields, Broadstairs.  

Although the repair is now complete, the network is complex and it will take time to get water flowing throughout and supply to fully return.   

We have two bottled water stations open at Dane Court Grammar School and St George’s C of E Foundation School, both in Broadstairs. There is heavy traffic in the area of the schools so please be patient.

We are deeply sorry for the distress and inconvenience that this incident is causing. Our teams worked through the night to fix the burst water main so that we can return supply to our customers. The repair is now complete, however it’s going to take time to get water flowing throughout the network and supply returns. 

Deliveries to our vulnerable customers on our Priority Services Register have recommenced. 

Our bottled water station at Dane Court Grammar School will reopen at 8am.  

We’re not able to open the bottled water site at ASDA Broadstairs, however we’re looking for an alternative location nearby and will update as soon as we can.  

Please allow extra time when making any journeys as there is likely to be heavy congestion.

Our teams have been working throughout the day and will continue through the night to fix the burst water main and return supply to our customers in the Broadstairs, Manston, Margate and Ramsgate areas of Kent. The burst is in a particularly difficult place and the repair is complex which means that water will not be back in supply tonight. 

We are deeply sorry for the distress and inconvenience that this is causing. A Bottled water sites will remain open at Dane Court Grammar School, CT10 2RT until 9pm.

We’ve delivered bottled water to almost all those vulnerable customers on our Priority Services Register, and these deliveries are continuing this evening. If you require urgent access to this service, you can sign up for emergency deliveries by calling us on 0330 303 0368.

We now have two bottled water stations open, one at Dane Court Grammar School, CT10 2RT, and one at Asda Broadstairs, CT10 2NR.

We're continuing to deliver bottled water to our most vulnerable customers on the Priority Services Register.  If you require access to bottled water as a priority you can sign up to our Priority Services Register and we’ll add you to the list of emergency deliveries. Update 19th December 13:45

Our teams are continuing to restore water supply in the Broadstairs, Manston, Margate, and Ramsgate areas of Kent. The site is being excavated so that we can start the repair.  

We know how inconvenient and distressing being without water can be, and we’re working on getting the bottled water stations open as a priority. Traffic management will soon be in place to keep everyone safe.  

We are continuing to deliver bottled water to households on our Priority Services Register. We are also working with the local community and critical infrastructure to ensure that our fleet of water tankers are diverted where they are needed most.

We would like to apologise again for the ongoing disruption to customers' water supply in the Broadstairs, Manston, Margate, and Ramsgate areas of Kent.

We are working as hard as we can to fix this issue, by excavating the site in question. We understand how inconvenient and upsetting it can be to be without water. Unfortunately, we cannot yet say when supplies will return to normal.

We have already been delivering bottled water to households on our Priority Services Register, and plan to soon announce the locations for bottled water stations for the wider community. We will let you know as soon as they are open.

We’re also working with emergency services and other partners to support critical infrastructure including care homes and GP surgeries with deliveries from our fleet of water tankers.

We’re preparing bottled water collection points and will let you know as soon as they are open. We’re also working with emergency services and other partners to support critical infrastructure including care homes with deliveries from our fleet of water tankers.

Update 19th December 07:00

We're really sorry that some of our customers in Broadstairs, Manston, Margate, and Ramsgate in Kent, postcode areas CT9 CT10 CT11 CT12, are waking up to no water. 

This is due to a significant burst at our Rumfields Water Supply Reservoir which occurred early this morning. 

We're trying to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Bottled water is being delivered to our customers on our Priority Services Register.
