I investigate the quality and sustainability of the groundwater sources your water comes from.
My job is to understand the risks to groundwater quality from polluting activities and make sure these water sources are sustainable in support of the Environment Agency’s Water Industry National Environment Programme. To do this, I interact with teams across Southern Water along with external stakeholders, our regulators and other water companies on a daily basis.
I love my job because my work plays an important role in protecting the quality of your drinking water at the source. It also helps us better understand our impact on the environment and the groundwater sources we depend upon.
