Looking after the sources of your drinking water

October 2020

Zoë Fothergill
Catchment Risk Management Officer

I work with local farmers, landowners and other stakeholders to protect and improve the quality of the sources of your drinking water.

Addressing risks to water quality at the source helps to safeguard drinking water supplies and can reduce the need for costly, engineered, water treatment solutions.

I love my job because improvements to our water sources benefit both the environment and our customers. For example, reducing the nutrients, pesticides and other pollutants entering our rivers helps these places to thrive, which also means you can enjoy them more for recreation.
